To Hope in God, is to Soar
“But those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run and not grow weary, they shall walk and not grow faint.”
Sometimes I feel like giving up hope. In those moments I wonder if things are ever going to get better, or if my struggles will always be this way.
That’s what happens when I let go of God and begin to look at my life through my own perspective instead of His.
When I begin to pray I remember that I serve a God who is always in control. Hope is never meaningless when it is placed in Him. Hope in God gives me confidence that He is working, even when I don’t see it. This hope is real, and can never be broken because it is firmly anchored in God’s promises.
A reflection
“Hope is the ability to hear the music of tomorrow today, and faith is the courage to dance to its beat.”
Faith is the key to holding onto this hope, and we must never let go. You see, when we wait on the Lord — truly wait, with open hands — He doesn’t just sustain us. He causes us to soar.

A guided prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for the assurance that I have in you — that despite where I am right now, I still have everything that I need. This is only made possible through your Son’s sacrifice, and I now have a hope not only for today but for tomorrow and eternity. Amen.
